I joined Caerphilly Camera Club about 10 years ago. Being a member of other clubs in the area did not suit me, but the Caerphilly club was the friendliest I came across.

My particular passions are portrait and macro shots of insects and extreme macro of inanimate objects.

I have migrated through 35mm film with an old Praktica camera + 3 lenses, through Canon digital (2 models) Nikon, Panasonic, Fujitsu and Olympus. Currently using Nikon + 3 lenses and Olympus compact.

Since joining this club my confidence has increased as I can see other members work and (I can do that) attitude.
