Ben Hannigan

I joined the Camera Club in 2025, and am improving my photography through practice, participating in themed competitions, and learning from others. I enjoy a range of styles, including portrait, street, macro and landscape. Composition is more important than kit, but for the record my first interchangeable lens camera was a fully-manual, 35mm, Praktica BMS, bought from Dixons in 1989 (or thereabouts). Over the years I had lots of fun using this to take pictures of family, friends and places. Since 2016 all my photos have been digital. My Pentax K-S2 served me well until 2025, being replaced in that year by the special birthday gift of a mirrorless Sony A7Cii.
